Ghosts of War Poetry Workshop

P7B had a wonderful day at the Castle today with Lorna and Ken. We began in the National War Memorial, we explored the museum and we gathered to write poetry based on things we had seen and people we had learned about.

P7 Open Evening: James Gillespie’s High School

I warmly invite all Parents/Carers interested in knowing more about our school to join us on Thursday 29 September 2016. 


At 6.30pm you will be welcomed by our senior staff with a short presentation from our Head Teacher, Mr Donald Macdonald. Following the presentations, tours will set off with senior students acting as your guides around the school. 


You will have the opportunity to talk informally to staff and senior students, with staff being available in various departments to let you see some of the pupils’ work and to answer any questions you may have. The Senior Team will also be available along with Pupil Support Leaders and Support for Learning as part of your tour. 


The evening will close at 8.30pm. 


Visitors are encouraged to park off-site. Should you wish your child to attend the event with you, they will be welcomed.

I hope that you will be able to join us and I look forward to meeting with you then.
